BDA Good Practice Scheme

BDA Good PracticeOur BDA Good Practice Scheme accreditation shows that every member of Aughton Dental Practice has made a personal commitment to quality dentistry. As nationally agreed standards of good practice change the Good Practice Scheme is amended to include these changes.

This means that we have

  • looked at the service we provide and prepared a dossier to show how we are meeting the requirements of the scheme
  • agreed to let Good Practice assessors inspect the practice
  • continued to carry out our own internal checks on working procedures

And that we will

  • work with you to provide care that meets your needs and wishes
  • explain options and costs so that you can make an informed choice
  • look after your health and safety
  • ensure treatment is safe and confidential
  • ensure the current guidelines on cross infection control are followed

All staff will

  • take part in continuing professional education to keep our skills and knowledge up-to-date
  • participate in a review of training needs
  • ask patients for their views on our services
  • listen to feedback
  • deal promptly with complaints from patients and learn from them
